Climb into bed, turn off the lights and… grab a flashlight — it’s time for a projection show!
This time, the little wandering bun can roll not only through the forest, but also around your children’s curious little heads. Evening storytelling will turn into a fascinating play of light and shadows.
The text of the fairy tale The Little Bun together with carved pictures for backlighting is divided into eight wooden cards. Each one is designed so that the story can be read while projecting the related image at the same time.
You can project the animals, the little window with the bun, and grandma and grandpa onto the wall using an ordinary flashlight or a headlamp, but even the light on a mobile phone will do (for better image quality, we recommend not using a dual flash). You can then project onto the ceiling, the wall, the side of the bed, or any other light-colored surface.
Reading the fairy tale from the cards will take you about eight minutes. But you also have a unique opportunity to develop your children’s imagination and let them tell the story in their own words. Let yourself be surprised by all the other adventures the little bun might have, according to your little storytellers.
You can also use the fairy-tale card set with your children in daylight. Use the cards as stencils for tracing the fairy-tale story onto paper or for pressing the shapes into modeling clay. And who knows — perhaps the crafty fox and the hungry bear will become characters in a brand-new story created by your little authors.
